As the adoption of blockchain technology continues to grow, scalability remains a critical challenge for decentralized applications. Cartesi, as a layer-2 solution, offers unique advantages by integrating general-purpose computing into the blockchain, which promises to reduce the complexity of dApp development. 🙂

However, with increased usage, there are still questions regarding how Cartesi’s scalability can evolve to meet the demands of a rapidly expanding ecosystem. 🙂

The primary issue revolves around optimizing the computational resources required to process larger datasets and handle a higher throughput of transactions. 🙃 As Cartesi works to support more complex decentralized applications, addressing the scaling of its off-chain components, such as the Descartes virtual machine, will be essential.

How can Cartesi ensure its systems can process larger amounts of data without compromising decentralization or security? 🤔

Furthermore, a key challenge in the Cartesi roadmap is balancing efficiency and speed while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
